I'm not usually vulnerable about things like this, but if this supports, validates, affirms anyone else who's taking a stand against bullies to teach their little ones to stand up for themselves, by example, I'm happy to have shared. ❤️ Because what I Have noticed is that my daughter and I are being shunned due to this particular bully's gossip, because "we're making it awkward" by taking a stand and cutting them off. Interesting, that the bullying and gossip isn't awkward; just the well-boundaried response 🧐

A lot of us believe in "hard work pays off" and "the struggle is real" and ideas like that, that come out of slavery and the European caste / socio-economic hierarchy system. Humans, however, are not actually designed for life under stress. These ideas I call brainwashing because they're so pervasive that they’re viewed as fact. Ideas like productivity and economy as critical for our world to survive are all based on profits for a few, and most of us cannot fathom a world beyond that. What happens when we let that all go, and check in with ourselves to see what our own values truly call us to?
